Dubai - The Perfect Place to Spend a Holiday

Dubai is a great place to spend a vacation. It is in the Middle East and a lot of foreigners are visiting this country every year. It is a cosmopolitan state and this is a great plus in this country. The other Arab countries are known for their conservative policies and there were many incidents which drew people away from those countries. Especially, the people from the west of the world find it very difficult to visit those places. They are so free in many ways and they find these restrictions curtailing, especially on their vacation. But, Dubai is not as bad as these other Middle East countries. People from all over the world have settled in there in the past few years and thus the policies and rules have somewhat changed. They have learnt to live and respect the other's culture. This makes Dubai a great tourist spot as people from all over the world crowd in there every year.

This beauty of this place is that it is suitable for anyone and everyone. Be it a group of college students, or a honeymoon couple, or lovers, or a lonely man, all of them has something in here to entertain themselves with. They never get tired of this place and till date no one has had a bad holiday in here. There are many events being conducted all the time, and tourists are never bored. Some of the famous events are shopping festivals, lotteries, horse races, and tennis tournaments. There are also big scale golf tournaments being conducted in Dubai. A lot of money is being spent on these fairs and tournaments and its worth to visit this country to just see a single fair or a tournament.

The Dubai hotels are a sight in themselves. Some of the world's famous hotels are situated in this country. This is the right place where you can firsthand experience the sheer luxury and Arab Sheikh experiences. These high class Dubai hotels treat you like royalty and you get your money's worth. This country is the only one to have a seven star hotel. The usual star ratings don't exceed 4 or 5 for most of the world's top hotels, including American and London hotels. But this country has the honor of having a seven star hotel.

The hotel is named as Burj Al Arab and it is a great place to stay at. It is a floating hotel and is in the shape of a sail. A lot of money and time has been put into this place and the workmanship is simply fabulous. The architects have done a marvelous job with this hotel. Being a seven star hotel, the rents are pretty steep in here, but still people are milling around. Billionaires and millionaires from all over the world come here to stay. People also come to Dubai to at least get a good look at this hotel.

There are also other Dubai hotels that can almost be compared to this spectacular seven star hotel. Though they are not as good or as famous as this hotel, they do hold their own in the world rankings. But one disadvantage of Dubai hotels is that they are very expensive. The ordinary folks find it very difficult to spend any money on the rents charged. They have to spend a lot of money to stay in an average hotel, let alone a five star or seven star one.
