Canary Wharf is the business centre of London. It was erected on the location of West India Docks, which was one of most important dock in Europe during the early 19th century. It is dominated by multi-storey buildings and modern architecture. It is not a tourist destination but if you are the kind of person who wants to experience local areas rather than just tourist destinations than it is just the place for you. It is quite close to central London and offers many cheap hotels and serviced apartments.
