Bars are social animals with intelligence. They are more intelligent than the apes. They also share the same resources, security and friendship. They are not unpredictable and dangerous as what most media shows have shared to their viewers. They also have predictable behaviors. Most of these traits are beneficial, especially for human beings who love to watch them.

They are usually found in cold continents. That is why, Viewing these animals has become a popular recreational activity in different national parks. However, there are things that should be considered and certain things to avoid during Juneau bear viewing. Actually, there are different species of bears present in different parts of the world.

Bears are intelligent, curious and dangerous animals. Respecting them and learning proper behavior in their territory is a helpful way to encounter them. Animal viewing is not a dangerous activity, when done properly. You have to stick with the guidelines and tour companies you have chosen, since they know them well and they are always be there to direct and handle situations that may arise.

If you encounter one, you have to stand still, even it approaches. Never run from them, as your actions may encourage it to chase you. If it is not coming to you, walk back slowly and give the bear the access or space to its fishing hole and trails. You should not offer them food or let one take food from you. Keep your personal belongings with you. You may use your telephoto or binocular lenses. Do not stalk them closer.

Actually, you may also stay on the trails or roadways and remain your group. You should not attract them with loud noises, laughing out loud and other things that could catch their attention. You should be neutral with their environment. There are some bears that hide when they see people coming. But, in some famous bear viewing sites, bears have learned that people are not a serious problem. Hence, they also keep on visiting year after year.

Cubs may also ask for cues from their parents. Meaning that is humans behave responsibly, every generation of the animals will also visit and return to the sites every year for a viewing opportunity. Some of them are also tolerant than others, but most of them has their personal space if threatened.

Therefore, you should reduce disturbance to their natural habitats. You need to respect their space. You also have to make sure that they will experience predictable behaviors from humans. Pick a particular spot near the actions and let them come to you.

Overall, avoid surprising those animals at close distance. Avoid making plenty of noises. You also have to avoid crowding them, and attracting with improper handling of garbage or food. You also have to plan head, stay calm, identify yourself and do not run. In most cases, these animals are not a threat. But, they also deserve your attention and respect.

When traveling in bear countries, keep alert and enjoy the chance to see these amazing animals in their natural habitat. Female ones can be defenders of their young. Thus, getting between a female and her cubs is a big mistake. This is because, a female bear may aggressively respond to anyone who threatens to go near to her cubs.
