Lesser Known Florida Vacation Gems

By William A. Butland

Remember this one thing when planning a vacation to the Sunshine State; there's more to do than just visit the attractions along the I-4 corridor heading through Orlando. Florida is a state full of hidden gems just waiting for the adventurous tourist to turn them over and explore. My suggestion to you Is, BE that adventurous tourist and find out that there is more to Florida than just a large mouse wearing trousers.

Jupiter also has some of the finest, most beautiful beaches in Florida. It is worth the trip to find the spectacular beauty and the crystal clear water of the beaches of Jupiter, not to mention the world class fishing in the waters just off the coast. Whether you want to be kayaking through the intricate rivers just off the beautiful Intracoastal Waterway, or scuba diving looking for some hidden treasure off the coast, Jupiter is where you'll find the best of both worlds.

What's the first destination you think of when you think of going to Florida on vacation? Now, I don't profess to be psychic, but right about now you're thinking of Orlando, or Disney World; Universal Studio's perhaps. Whatever you're thinking, it somewhere in the middle of the state and it involves people walking around in costumes, probably singing some kind of happy song that makes you all tingly inside. The other thing that might come to mind is the water, the beautiful beaches of Florida, and there truly are some of the most beautiful beaches in the world in the Sunshine State. There are some famous beaches in Florida that make the usual top ten lists, Daytona Beach, Miami Beach, Clearwater Beach and Marco Island are the standards, but there are a couple of beaches in Florida that are truly hidden gems, and their towns aren't so bad either.
