New York City is one of the most popular cities in the world, and when you are there, you should never miss to go around and see the New York sight. These are places famed for their beauty, history and impact on society. It would be considered sacrilegious if you step in the roads of New York and not even visit one of these sites. So in an effort to save everyone from eternal damnation, I have compiled a list of famous New York sites. Hopefully, by the end of this article, you would have an itinerary in mind and already packing your bags to leave for the Big Apple.

Top 5 New York Sights:

Central Park. This place has been the location of numerous movies and is the very first urban landscaped park in the United States. It is the home of many restaurants, the Metropolitan Museum, the Central Park Zoo and the Wollman rink.

The next place on our itinerary would not need any further introduction as it is one of the most famous places on Earth. I am talking about Central Park. Ellis Island and Liberty Island. These are two islands that will always and forever will be on the list of New York City sights. Close to half of the population of the United States have first set foot on Ellis Island between the years of 1892 and 1954. Ellis Island is fully open, same with Liberty Island, but the famed Statue of Liberty does not allow access to its interiors due to security reasons.

After Chrysler Building, you must never miss going to the Empire State Building. This was once the tallest building in the world and the spot for numerous movies. Its 102 stories and rich history would surely make for a great stopover. This was built back in 1931 and is 1, 454 feet tall. On the 86th floor, they have an observation deck that is open 7 days a week from 9:30am to 12 midnight, and you will see the greatest view of your life.
