Alfa Hotel Parga - Hands on Hotel Review From a Recent Parga Holiday

I can highly recommend the Alfa hotel Parga having just spent a wonderful 2 weeks at the resort and in the comfort of this particular hotel. I can honestly say that I was very spoilt and made to feel very individual and special as a guest as a matter of course.

As a choice of accommodation the Alfa hotel Parga is a small, family run hotel that caters very well for the visiting holiday maker. You are welcomed with friendly smiles and handshakes and nothing is too much trouble, you are embraced almost like an honorary family member for your stay.

Situated slightly away from the main harbor area (a pleasant 5 minute walk away) making it ideally located. With a back drop of magnificent hillsides covered in olive groves it has a very tranquil setting which is perfect when sitting on your balcony at the end of a long day to just sit and enjoy.

The rooms themselves are not huge but are more than adequate with plenty of hanging space and are very clean and tidy. In fact, the towels and bedding were changed daily which I thought was a real luxury and everything was kept spotless for the duration of my stay.

The pool area was hosed down and swept daily and the sun beds also wiped clean every morning. With palm trees and strategically place pots of colorful flowers the whole place had such a homely feel about it, almost like you were using a friends pool which just made it all so relaxing.

With a pool side bar serving coffee and drinks all day as well as beautifully cooked food, salads, sandwiches and omelettes etc. you really have no need to leave the hotel if you did not want to. A huge bonus was not just the quality of the food that was served at the bar but the value for money it represented too. The portions were generous and were cheaper than a lot of the nearest local tavernas.

The hotels restaurant called the 5 senses is also open to passing trade in the morning and evening but as a paying guest breakfast was buffet style with freshly cooked bacon, eggs, sausage and a massive selection to choose from of cereals, cakes and pastries as well as Greek yoghurt, honey and cold meats and cheeses. So, a fantastic start to your day on the food front.

The evening menu was more cosmopolitan and less traditional Greek style food is served (although some Greek specials are on offer) and all of it beautifully cooked and presented.

All in all, the Alfa hotel Parga was a fantastic place to make your stay very special, it has an up market but friendly, homely feel about it and I would not hesitate to recommend it to anyone who appreciates a good, quality service and I will most definitely going back there again
