Are You Looking for a Good Hookah Flavor?

By John McCree

Are you looking for a good hookah flavor? This post reveals numerous good resources for you in deciding and buying your ideal shisha flavor.

Hookahs are used to smoke flavorful tobacco, mostly termed as "shisha". Following are the ingredients, which are used in shisha these days:

1. Tobacco

2. Treacle (uncrystallized syrup produced in refining sugar)

3. Honey

4. Sugar

5. Molasses

6. Glycerin

7. Nicotine

8. Dried Fruit

9. Distilled Water

The producers of shisha have been experimenting a lot lately and they've come up with some truly creative flavors such as Fantasia's "Cuban Mojito". However, fruit flavors still are the most popular flavors among hookah smokers. Most of the newer flavors do, however, take their cues from the tried and true traditional fruit flavors. Flavors like Apple pie, blueberry muffin and banana split are some of the popular ones.

Because of the improved production processes, it has become easy to add flavors to shisha and thus many flavors is available out there. Any substance can be mixed in dried tobacco during the production to create unique flavors.

Social Smoking

People normally smoke hookah in a social gathering where they can have the company of their close friends. As hookahs grew in popularity throughout the Middle East hundreds of years ago, it became typical to find them in eating and drinking establishments. These days, you can find hookahs even in the homes of many people.

A great deal of the increasing popularity of shisha can be attributed to the flavor and soothing effect of the smoke. People smoke it out of social pursuit and not for any kind of biological effect it elicits. On the other hand cigarette to begin with, has a really bad smell and smokers generally smoke cigarette out of addiction. A cigarette surely lasts no longer than 5 minutes and a shisha lasts for more than 60 minutes, but the latter is not addictive.

Getting the Most Flavor from Your Hookah

To get the most out of your hookah you do not need much, but simply some good common sense and a sound sense of discipline. First of all, cleaning and maintaining your device appropriately is necessary. You need to wash your hookah meticulously with warm water after every use.

If you want to have a smooth smoking session then you need to prevent the charcoal from burning the tobacco during the session. Make the bowl in a way as to prevent the tobacco from becoming stuck to the foil or screen; better yet, try not to allow the tobacco to touch the foil by any means. When you're packing the bowl, leave some millimeters between the top of your tobacco and the plane created by the rim of the bowl. This way, when you will wrap the aluminum foil on the top of the rim, there'll be distance between the aluminum foil and tobacco. Placing two toothpicks on top of the tobacco in a cross is a great way to prevent the foil from touching the tobacco. Also, while "packing" the bowl, don't pack the tobacco down tightly. A loose mound of tobacco that will allow the air to pass through it is perfect. Doing this, you will be able to get a flavorful hit without having to strongly puff on the hose. Many people also use two sheets of aluminum foil to prevent overheating. The name of the game here is: KEEP IT THOROUGHLY CLEAN AND DON'T BURN THE SHISHA!
