By Yvonne Brixey

The holidays, Christmas in particular, is a magical time of the year for many reasons. It is full of wonderful traditions, great food, loving family and tons of fun. A few traditions enjoyed by children include; the North Pole, Santa Claus, reindeer, Father Christmas, Santa letters, elves and the list goes on and on. One tradition in particular, that both children and parents alike can enjoy is receiving a Letter from Santa.

It is great to have some quality time with your children during Christmas time, a simple way to achieve this is to have each child write, design and decorate their own personalized letter to Santa Claus. They can use any materials they like to create this letter, making it special and unique. Once the letters are complete, you will want to have a North Pole postmark on the envelope and address it to Santa Claus. The next step is to get the children tucked into bed because now it is your turn to make this Christmas a magical one by writing the beloved letter from Santa.

Children love and enjoy writing letters to Santa Claus, whether it is in the classroom or at home, teachers and parents should encourage this wonderful tradition. Of course, the most exciting part for the children is actually receiving the letter from Santa. The letter makes Christmas time that much more special and they will cherish their Santa letter for many years to come.

Now, some parents or teachers may not have time on their side and are unable to write the Santa letters themselves. In this case, there are some towns in the North that need work and will write a letter back for every one received. What address should you send your Santa letters to? The best way to find an address that is closest to you would be to Google search "letter from Santa address." Several options should appear of where to send your letters to Santa from your children.

If your family has several children, who all wrote a letter to Santa, it may just be easier to write a letter from Santa to the whole family. The letter from Santa could address each child or the family as a whole. The letter from Santa could include goals you and your children could work towards in the new year. Maybe doing their chores without being asked or learning to listen better. These suggestions might also sound better coming from Santa Claus rather then you.

The more detailed and personal you can make the letter from Santa, the more special and treasured it will become. Answering a few of your child's questions that are in the Santa letter would be a sure way to do this. For example, let the child know that Santa Claus has been watching them all year and has seen how good they have been. And for being so good, you may want to give the child a hint in the letter that they could be getting a present that they have been hoping for. Including these personal details will also help your child's ability to imagine Santa Claus, sitting in his chair at home in the North Pole writing this letter specifically for them. Receiving a letter from Santa is one of the most memorable experiences during Christmas time. It will surely make the holidays more special and magical for you and your children! How to Write and Receive Santa Letters
