How To Get A Good Price When Selling A Caravan

By Paul Partridge

When it comes to caravans these days, many of us will feel that we want to sell our current one in order to buy a newer model. But the truth of the matter is that what often happens is we don't get the best price for the caravan because we have failed to negotiate properly. You may end up with a much better price for your caravan if you are a bit clever about things.

Here are my tips to help you ensure that you get a good price during this type of transaction.

It is very important that you do a lot of research when it comes to second hand caravans. Have a good look in the classified sections both on and offline and this is where you will find all the information that you need. You will want to find out the going rate for a caravan of your time and year. In order to know what the maximum, minimum and average selling prices are, you will have to find a few prices.

When trying to sell anything you have to make it look appealing. Making your caravan look as near to new as you can is the best advice. Be sure to fully clean the caravan, both inside and out and don't leave any corner out.

You also have to make sure that any bad smells are eliminated. Caravans tend to have smells and you just get used to them. The trouble is that prospective buyers can be very put off by these smells so you will want to do your very best to eradicate them.

Be as friendly as possible when selling your caravan but try not to be too friendly. Don't appear to eager to sell; make the buyer think you are sorry to see the caravan go.
