Bur Dubai - Mainland of Dubai

This article is intended to make you more informative about one of the oldest and historic areas of Dubai.
Bur Dubai got its name as it borders the Dubai creek, giving relevance to Bur that means 'mainland'. Basically, Dubai City starts where this place starts.
It is a heavily populated area which does not find its place in the list of must see places of Dubai.
The area as already mentioned, is very old, but the developments that keep on happening make it new as well. So it is an interesting fusion of old with new going on.
The mostly populated area of this place is the innermost part having old residential apartments (commonly called 'flats') and marketplace. Towards the outskirts, there are several nice hotels and shopping malls (also called shopping centers in Dubai). The main attractions of this place include the hotels, shopping centers and the local marketplace shopping experience.
It is a great place to stay at because of its central location. Shopping here becomes fun because the small market vendors will negotiate with you providing some of the best deals.
Apart from the street market, there are also modern malls or shopping centers if one prefers the more sophisticated style of shopping.
Some of the popular shopping centers found in this area are: Al Khaleej Centre, Al Rais Centre, Lamcy Plaza, Wafi Plaza, Mazaya Centre, Jumeira Centre, Jumeira Plaza and the famous and one of the oldest Burjuman Centre.
Many of these malls are brand new and the older malls also well maintained. This makes the shopping experience in Dubai simply lovable. Any mall, big or small, seems much better than some of the best malls all over the world. No doubt that is why Dubai is the ultimate shopping destination of all.
Not only the variety of goods, but they are just so good at the facilities and maintenance of all the buildings. Talking about the hotels of Dubai, most of them are located here in Bur Dubai. Hence, this place becomes a tourist attraction as everything is easily accessible because of its central location.
Most of the places are so nearby that it can be reached by walking or maximum 10 minute cab ride. One can also find numerous hotels in this area which makes it easier for finding a room.
Rooms that are easily available in this city are comparatively cheaper than the rooms available in other parts of Dubai. The Grand Hyatt is undoubtedly the most popular hotel of this place.
There are also two Golden Sands hotel franchises here, which attract many tourists.
The market roads are somewhat congested just like India's. A ride from apartments to marketplace and vice-versa will be full of humans, bikes, three-wheelers, cows, dogs, and big trucks all share the same road surrounded by small merchants all over the place.
Be it shopping malls, marketplace, hotels, rich culture, enjoyment, vacation, or just any other reason, Bur Dubai is definitely worth seeing and experiencing at least once in life.
