by Emily EM Collins

There are many winning features that make Sharm el Sheikh holidays the perfect choice for people of all ages. Whether you are looking to explore the protected marine parks which are home to some of the ocean's most interesting wildlife, laze around on the 35 km of pristine white sandy beach or enjoy an evening in one of their multiple sophisticated bars, there is something to suit all tastes and great hotel deals to be snapped up all year round.

This old Bedouin settlement has been quickly transformed into one of the World's most bustling resorts. Year round sunshine and close proximity to European cities means that tourists are making a beeline here to hang out with the local cosmopolitan 'Sharmers' and to experience the best that Sharm el Sheikh has to offer.

What should people expect from Sharm el Sheikh holidays? Visitors will inevitably enjoy sun, sea and great food but what happens after the sun goes down? Well, if you are looking for a good place to begin the night then look no further than your hotel bar. The resort is made up of major hotel-chains all boasting well-stocked bars, comfortable surroundings and a friendly clientele.

An example of great hotel bar is the tropical, beachside Havana Bar at the Hilton Hotel. With peaceful views over the ocean, palm trees and waterfalls, it will be impossible not to relax and enjoy your evening. Another great choice is Camel Bar, a rooftop oasis that welcomes guests of the exclusive Camel Dive Club and Hotel as well as people wandering past who want to enjoy a cocktail or smoke a shisha in their relaxing surroundings.

For a nightspot that has a relaxed vibe in the early evening but transforms into one of Naama Bay's wildest party spots around 11pm try Little Buddha. This bar is home to arguably some of the best cocktails in Sharm el Sheikh and although a little on the pricey side, this is where all of the sophisticated holiday makers head for relaxed, delicious cocktails and a steamy dance floor which is packed until the early hours.

Another more lively area to head to is the Soho Square complex - home to four lively bars. It's up to you which one you choose. If you need cooling down after a long day sunbathing, heading to Ice Bar, the first of its kind in the Middle East. In this sub-zero bar you can enjoy a freezing cold drink from a glass made of ice whilst you sit at an icy table on an icy chair. You get the picture. It's a great experience and makes Ice Bar one of Sharm el Sheikh's most exciting bars. If you don't fancy this then you can grab a drink at either The Oxygen Bar or The Mandarin bar. Both of these are excellent locations for a warm up drink before heading on to a club.

For those seasoned clubbers, definitely hotfoot it to Pacha Sharm. Well known international DJ's take to the decks weekly to mesmerize clubbers with their electronic beats or head to Pangaea which has different club nights every night so you will be sure to find something to your taste whether it's hip hop or salsa night.

This ever-growing resort has something to suit all moods and tastes and the wealth of options means that you will be spoilt for choice in Sharm el Sheikh.
