Unforgettable Travelling to Sharjah

By Lily Stanford

Sharjah is a suburb of the town of Dubai, and it's a fabulous place to go to. Plenty of the folks that live here are working in Dubai, where they can find the better jobs. They have made Sharjah their home because of the less expensive cost of getting by. Visit Sharjah and enjoy it's attractions with cheap car rental service. The area is stunning, with a cape that has the Persian Gulf on one side and the Gulf of Oman on the other. All the city's buildings are done by qualified designers, creating an excellent skyline without the major skyscrapers of other towns.

There are so many things to do and see while in Sharjah. A good way to start, and get a feel for the area, is by walking along The Corniche. Here you will pass elegant mosques, the Sharjah Fort, the heritage area, the arts area, and The Museum of Islamic Culture. This can also give you a glance of the local fisherman and the agreeable sights of the boats on the wonderfully clear waters. Behind The Corniche are the many Souqs. These are wonderful places to observe the local culture.

Activities abound here. With 21 parks and gardens to enjoy, and a few green fields set up for games such as basketball and football, there is something for everybody. Add to that the many beaches like Al Khan Lagoon, Corniche Beach, Al Kahn Beach, Hamriyah Lagoon, and Khorfalken. Take a role in swimming, diving, fishing, and playing in the sand.

Diving is especially favored as the views under water in Sharjah are just as lovely as the ones on land. One can't visit here without a ride on the Center of the Emirates. This 60 meter high Ferris wheel takes passengers up and around in air conditioned compartments where you get a fantastic view of both Shajah and Dubai as well as the encompassing gulfs.

In order to make your stay as pleasing as practical there are a few tips you'll wish to follow. Though Sharjah is among the safest towns in this bit of the world, use common-sense. Keep a watch on belongings, and keep a look out for bag snatchers. This town is quite liberal when it comes to their lady, matched against others. Even allowing for that kindly respect their culture by wearing loose fitting clothing and avoid exposing swim suits. An added perk, tipping is not customary here.
