Things You Can't Do Without When You Travel

By Christy Lyons

Going on vacation is an opportunity to get away from daily demands and relax. Unfortunately, sometimes it can also be a stressful experience. Having a few extra items with you can take the stress away. Here are a few things that can make your trip a stress-free one.

Don't forget your digital camera. This should be the first item you should pack. How many times have you been to a place where you saw something you want to take a picture of, but you didn't have a camera to do it with - or you take a picture and you get home only to find out the picture didn't turn out right?

Digital cameras allow you to see the picture right away, so you have time to try again if needed. Don't get anything too expensive or bulky, just a small cheaper one will do.

A bag of personal items for grooming Keeping your items in a grooming bag avoids different items getting lost in different bags and suitcases. It also eliminates problems with getting make-up or other substances on your clothes.

A travel clock can come in handy - If you need to get up at certain times while on your trip, use a travel alarm clock. It is less annoying than the phone call from the front desk. It's very useful also for short naps, since you surely won't want to miss out on any fun because you didn't wake up.

Have you ever compressed your clothes? - This is an awesome accessory to have. The bags are filled with clothes and then the air is taken out of them.

These bags allow you to have more room in the suitcase, and your clothes will be protected inside of them. When you need a specific item, you just open the bag and pull the item out. The amazing part is that they don't wrinkle the clothes.

It never hurts to have a fanny pack They are wonderful to keep your money and credit cards with you. With a fanny pack, you don't need a wallet or purse, thus eliminating the fear of losing them. For women, it frees them up to move around instead of having to struggle with a purse strap always coming down.

To go first aid kits - These are perfect for those minor emergencies that occur on the drive to your destination spot or even while you're there. They can be expensive on the road, so it will be cheaper to bring one from home.

Traveling can sometimes get a little stressful, but if you have what you need when you need it, it can be a lot more fun. You might just have to pack a few extra things, but you will be happy you did in the long run.
