Summer Clubbing Highlights in Spain and Cyprus

By Emily Collins

If you love the whole clubbing scene then holidays in Salou, Cyprus and Ibiza are perfect for you. These destinations are busy in the summer months as most of the nightlife runs until dawn.

Salou offers a fantastic mix of bars and nightclubs and most of these can be found in the main area of Carlos Buigas. If it's a club you're after then you can't go wrong with the Kiss Disco Bar, whilst those looking for live music usually head to the Irish pub, Christy McGrath. If deciding between the two forms of nightlife is too complex then head to Zepplin Bar Salou which prides itself on offering both.

You can't mention clubbing and not mention Ibiza. Every night is a party here and there are always events taking place around the island. May 18th sees the Es Paradis Opening Party featuring DJ Oliver, Sam Cannon, Alex Seda and Steeve Valverde.

In July, you can catch Skrillex, Pendulum, Flux Pavillion and Annie Mac at Amnesia on the 3rd and Chase & Status and Shy FX at the club on the 10th, with Example playing at Eden. There really is a great variety of music and events happening throughout the year, especially the summer, when taking holidays in Ibiza.

Cyprus is another destination favoured by clubbers, in particular the buzzy resort of Ayia Napa which is easily reached from Paphos. The clubs here have held host to some of Britain's best DJs. The largest club in the Cyprus is the Castle Club, which houses three different music rooms, an open air terrace and a VIP lounge. Famous names such as Alex Kidd play here regularly alongside the nine resident DJs. If you fancy a very late night (or a very early morning) head to River Reggae. The club may not open until midnight, but has a chill-out area and a swimming pool where the infamous Russian Bikini Foam Party takes place every Saturday night during the summer. As you can imagine holidays in Cyprus can get very lively!
