Perth Accommodation is Convenient

By Bronwyn Gillard

Perth is the major city of Western Australia and there is a lot of Perth Accommodation available. The city is very interesting as you can find a mix of the old and the new. Just south of the city is the famous Margaret River wine area. There is also a lot of entertainment, arts, culture, nightlife and the city is the business hub of the area. Two historic sites not to be missed are the Perth Town Hall and Barrack Square.

The Great Eastern Highway is one of the main roads into Perth and just off this can be found the Holiday Inn that is part of the Burswood Entertainment Complex. Inside the complex you can find a theatre, live entertainment, restaurants, bars, casino and golf course. The hotel itself has a restaurant that offers both indoor and alfresco dining, a gym, swimming pool and outdoor terrace.

Cambridge Atrium Apartments are self contained apartments. The apartments are cleaned weekly and each apartment comes with reverse cycle air conditioning and full kitchen facilities. You have access to the complex BBQ facilities and swimming pool and all apartments open into a garden atrium. There is plenty to do around the complex making it a great spot for those longer trips to the city.

A great luxury accommodation is the Duxton Hotel near Kings Park in the centre of the city. The deluxe suites that are available all have ensuite bathrooms and separate living and bedroom areas. The top two floors of the hotel contain club rooms and a private lounge. You can relax after a long day at the Lobby Bar or enjoy dinner at the hotels restaurant, the Grill.

A new luxury hotel is Mantra on Ray which has two different penthouse suites as well as a variety of apartments. The penthouses can contain a maximum of 30 people. All of the apartments contain large balconies that overlook the swan River. There is a rooftop swimming pool and a gym which have great views of the city. Other things you are close to include the shopping areas, art galleries, theatre precinct and sporting stadiums.

If you want to stay a bit outside of the city and like B&Bs then Wisteria Park is a great luxury choice. The building is a replica of a Victorian era home along the upper banks of the Canning River. You can enjoy a leisurely breakfast each morning looking over the river and enjoy the gardens and wildlife in the area. The bush reserve is a great place to see plants and wildflowers.

Rosemoore Cottage is another B&B in Mosman Park. This is perfect for families or those looking for a romantic trip. There are several rooms available all with ensuite and decorated in the country fashion. You can easily travel into the city by walking to the Victoria Street Railway Station. Each morning you can enjoy the continental breakfast.

A more modern hotel located in the VBD is Rydges. This is near the west end and retail district.
