Anyone Who Has A Vehicle Should Have Certain Tools For Maintaining Their Pirelli Tires

By Renee W. Oaks

Anyone who owns their own vehicle ought to have a specific set of tools stored in their vehicle at all times, because they will need to take good care of their Pirelli tires and will need these specific tools to do so. Not all of these tools are created for the exact same purposes, because while some are only needed for properly maintaining your wheels between driving, there are others that are specifically made for changing your wheels in case they blowout or simply go flat. Most vehicles come with at least a few of the specific types of tools every vehicle owner requires, but it is wise to look over what you have and head to a local automotive parts store to get whatever you don't have.

As long as you can help your wheels maintain their original factory glory, you will be much less likely to have to repair or replace them, so your first objective should be to get the tools required to properly maintain your wheels. If you want your treads to go that additional mile, you will need to keep each tire filled to the recommended PSI and rotate your wheels before the tread wears away too much on one side, so it is a good idea to keep a tread gauge and a pressure gauge in your trunk or glove box. There are also a variety of tire care products available that will help manage your wheels by keeping them clean and free of any corrosive substances and help protect them from harmful UV rays.

There will always be a time when you have to handle a small leak that gradually allows the air to drain from your tire or a large puncture that lets your tire go flat in just a matter of minutes. One thing that every vehicle requires is a set of plugs and plugging tools, because there is no greater way to repair a hole in the tread of one of your tires than putting a plug in it and making sure it is completely sealed. The tricky thing about a slight leak is the fact that it is nearly impossible to find, but with a special can of tire sealant, you can inflate the tire and seal the leak from the inside until you can get somewhere to get the tire permanently fixed or replaced.

No amount of preparation or repairs will stop the inevitable moment when you are forced to remove one of your Pirelli tires from your vehicle and have a spare or all new tire put in its place. The only way you are going to be able to get a tire off of your vehicle is to jack the vehicle up off the ground with a car jack and remove each one of the lug nuts that fasten the tire to the car by using a special lug wrench.

Most of the times where you find yourself needing some of these tools are going to be ones where you are away from home and nowhere near a store that carries them. So the best way to always be prepared to care for your Pirelli tires is to have these tools in your vehicle at all times.
